In the way way back machine one might encounter a little band
from Portage Indiana (circa 1985) known as the Lemonade Candles.
With front man, Jef Sarver, the artist formerly known as Sid Viscous
(Not a type-o). You may also remember the partner in crime, Toby C.
who used to rip up the base lines back in the good old dayz.
If you have been in the hunt for Lemonade Candles memorabilia
You are in luck. Here are two of the songs from the CD we put out
entitled 'One Chance in Three'.
As any artist will tell you one tends to look back at stuff they
did long ago and not be happy with it. We weren't sure about posting
these tunes but were talked into the idea by our friend and
webmaster JestaPhreak you might remember him as Andy from Indy. He
said that people from back in the day might be looking for some of
this as they have probably lost or overplayed the copies they got
long ago. So here are two of our favorites from that mid 80's disc.
Hope you like them.
If those sound like 80's tunes it is because they are 80's tunes, so
please don't complain bout them if you didn't like them.
But wait guess what. You may listen to those tunes and remember the
old dayz with an air of nostalgia, when Lemonade candles were together.
You might be excited to know that a little wayz back Young Master Toby
and Jammin Jef were reunited (cus it feels so good) and they actually
dragged themselves into a studio to work on some new stuff. They ofcurse
fought and cussed each other just like back in the old dayz but did wind
up putting together a slew of songs that they intend to put on a cd.
Toby and Jef have both grown alot as musicians and as writers and this
CD looks like it will be a winner. Stay tuned for that.
Hope you like what you've heard and we can't wait to hear what you
think of the new stuff.
