Hello Everyone, we are Team Lemon and yes, we build boats out of cardboard. Each year we travel to many different states including Illinios, Missouri, and of course our home state Ohio. There are many cities in each of these states that celebrate the crafting and innovation put into building a cardboard boat. Races are held and prizes are given out for many different accomplishments. Team Lemon holds many trophies including: fastest, most creative, most patriotic, most crowd-pleasing, and many others. Building these boats are not a simple task. Obviously inorder for your boat to float it most be durable and water resistant. If your extremely curious about this addicting hobby there are many places you can look and visit to get more information. This is a Museum in New Richmond, Ohio, found along the Ohio river. The address is 311 Front Street New Richmond, Ohio 45157. Summer hours are Tues 4:00PM to 8:00PM, Saturdays 10:00 to 5:00, and Sundays 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Here you can see not only pictures but also boats raced in previous years and new ones ready to race this year. The race for this year will be on August 22th 2009 Saturday, in New Richmond, Ohio. So if you are looking for an exciting and involving activity with the family or alone grab some cardboard, tape, and paint and join us in racing along the Ohio river.
