Lemuel Payne, a.k.a. Lem, a.k.a. LP, is a 22 year old phenomenal talent from New York hidden beneath the mainstream of today’s music. Artist, song writer, musician, and producer since he was in his young adolescence, he will take whatever you throw at him and make it sound both original, and epic. Drums, piano, guitar, you name it - he can, and will master it. If it’s something he hasn’t worked with before, in about an hour he will have it down without any instruction manual or teacher telling how to use it. He’s so diverse, that stating a few adjectives couldn’t come close in explaining his ability. In a strong attempt - this young man is real, knowledgeable, deep, inspirational, and humble. Through metaphorical lyrics and down to earth punch lines, he displays an old school sound mixed with some futuristic twist that you’ve never heard before. The intellectual wisdom this twenty two year old demonstrates is powerful enough to create a song about something as simple as a pair of glasses, and have your perspective about life change that day. He makes it possible for a song to be epic enough to be a radio/club hit with the craziest beat, while simultaneously speaking real and raw about true life in his words. Through his experiences, he speaks knowledgeable lyrics that without intention, gives his listeners advice about their own struggles. Although he speaks hope and faith to the youth of the world, he doesn’t hide his own. He will throw his own personal flaws out in the air in a way that allows fans to almost feel like they’ve known him for years, when really it could be the first day they heard his name. His older sister Chrisette Michele is two time Grammy nominated, and took one home this year. Also has her second album coming out this year. The passion you hear in every word that comes out of his mouth, will explain everything else. Keep your ears and eyes open for what Lem Payne is storing for you. .. ..!!!
