The M.I.L.L. is a Registered Canadian Charity designed to promote music and the arts to all community members through musical instrument lending,lessons & mentorship provisions. They are also involved in some performance and recording opportunities.

The Musical Instrument Lending Library - Huron was created in Memory of Joey DePutter 1990 - 2002, a beautiful boy who left a big mark in many hearts. It was based on the model of the Joe Chithalen Musical Instrument Lending Library in Kingston. Joe C. died of an allergic reaction while touring in Amsterdam. Joe played with over 40 bands and taught many individuals to believe in themselves and their music; Wally High & Rob Doak founded the Kingston M.I.L.L.in his memory. Other influences Marie Bates; Pat Wildfong, Sarah Mann and so many friends, family members, acquaintances and heroes who have touched our lives and our dreams for the M.I.L.L.'s along the way.
