In 2009, Leni Ward released debut album "Body" on DIY label The Library Recordings. Since then, she has enjoyed support from both national and regional radio. With strong support from Steve Lamacq and Dermot O'Leary on Radio 2 and Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music, Leni has since been invited to perform on the BBC Introducing stage at T In The Park and at the inaugural Tom Robinson Fresh On The Net live sessions.
"A very good body of work, this record" - Steve Lamacq, Radio 2
Leni is now holed up in the studio writing and recording the followup to "Body", due out in 2010.

Live, Leni performs with a variety of samplers, drums machines, keys, guitars and pedals to create complex multilayered tracks, very close to those you can hear on this page. Generally, she's playing/controlling 3 or 4 of them at once. If you watch her feet while she's playing, she kind of looks like she's tap dancing.
(For any interested promoters the above description may have worried, Leni uses a set up which makes life as easy as possible on the venue and its engineer. Check out the tech rider for more details.)
