Grew up in the Bay Area of California; learned to play by ear as a Junior in High School. Influenced by bass players such as James Jamerson, Larry Graham, Paul Jackson, Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Alphonso Johnson, and Louis Johnson. Moved to San Francisco in the early 70's to work in local bands. In the mid-70's, left S.F. to work in show bands in Reno, Lake Tahoe and throughout Nevada. Then returning to the Bay Area in the late 70's, doing more of the same with R&B and Funk Bands, touring the Northwest and Canada. It was in '83' I was asked by musician friend, to check out the music scene on Maui. With Maui being such a unique place, I was able to play venues and gigs with artists such as Johnny Rivers, Alice Cooper, Pat Simmons, Michael McDonald, Walter Becker, Donald Fagen, Steve Laury, Carlos Santana. I've made Maui my home since, and I still do corporate conventions with Kelly Covington, Paul Marchetti, and Fulton Tashombe, formally known as Raw Silk . At the present time I'm working in 2 new Bands - Island Rumours, featuring on guitar/vocals Rick Vito and one of rocks greatest drummers Mick Fleetwood, along with local favorites Willie K., Eric Gilliom, Riatea Helm, Lopaka Colon, and Gretchen Rhoads, and - The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, also featuring Rick, Mick, and Mark Johnstone (Keyboards). Have traveled with The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band to St. Louis, Missouri, Aspen, Colorado and to Norway, to headline at the Notodden International Blues Festival. In the fall of "08' the Blues Band toured Europe for 22 dates in Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, and the U.K. The Blues Band also has a new CD, (Blue Again) live from St. Louis, which was released before the tour. I thank God and continue to look forward to new and exciting horizons that surround my world.
