MySpace a place for friends

American-born singer-songwriter Lenny Pearl has been singing, playing and writing music for over 15 years. He now lives and plays in Turku, a city on the south-west coast of Finland. Armed with acoustic guitar, Pearl plays compelling and sometimes dissonant original songs, singing with strong but sensitive vocals and insightful lyrics about topics raging from addiction (Hole) and jealousy (Salieri) to body image (Strange Perception) and the fashion industry (My Armaani). With influence from the alternative music genre, he veers away from the traditional structure of acoustic folk music without sacrificing the melodic integrity of his instrument.

Lenny is a regular performer at book café Turun Kirjakahvila in Turku. He is also a member of the Student Union of the University of Turku (TYY) Choir in the second bass section. His good friend Paul Jonker has also recently been accompanying Lenny at his shows providing electric guitar sounds to his already unique musical style
