I am a flutist and flute maker in Asheville, North Carolina. I currently play in the Asheville Symphony and freelance in the area. I have designed a flute with square tone holes which gives you a really clear sound and super response. Go to www.lopatinflutes.com to find out more. After I graduated from the Juilliard School in New York, I played piccolo and 3rd flute in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and have also performed with the Boston Symphony and Pops orchestras.
“I have always thought of Christmas as a good time; a kind, forgiving, generous, pleasant time; a time when men and women seem to open their hearts freely, and so I say, God bless Christmas!”
~ Charles Dickens

Thanks Lenny. I have some more recent stuff and on a wider variety of flutes on my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/Jemtheflute if you are interested. I'm afraid some of the playing is ropy - less good than I'd like, anyway..... It is really difficult to video yourself and play your best!
Can I recommend you check out the work of Calum Stewart - he's in my Friends lists here and on FB - some samples on his page here - quite astounding work on an 8-key wooden flute!
As you know, I'm not a Bohm flute player/fan, but your square hole flutes are technically fascinating - I have browsed your website after we linked up on FB.
Lenny - good to see you here and thanks. Hoping you're well.
