Hey Len,

It was great to see you in Portland back in May. I am so 'released' now that the dissertation is complete. Thanks so much for the help you have been and the guidance you have given.

I'm talking with Lifeway right now about producing and marketing my project. I'll let you know how that turns out. I feel a strong sense of encouragement from the Spirit that this is the road that I need to follow. Not necessarily Lifeway, but certainly the Jesus Screenplay project.

After a difficult year of faith development and staff restructuring, the church is also doing very well. You have been such a blessing to us all. For your investment in me, I am very thankful. May the winds of the spirit gust in your life and drive you to the destination of his choice.

Of all the things that you said over the 2 1/2 years of our study together, when you called me "Friend" it spoke it the loudest and clearest. Thanks for saying it again. Are you still in ONE PEACE?

Thank you for letting me be one of your friends Leonard. I enjoyed hearing you speak in Tyler Texas.
Psalm 24:3-4
Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ?
Who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.

Thanks for your awesome work, Len. You got me thinking in a whole new way with your Native vs. Immigrant paradigm and the EPIC world of Natives. I'm a Native, and being a UM pastor among a primarily Immigrant church, I thought I was going crazy! But your work, especially Postmodern Pilgrims, really was an affirmation of rumblings I had going on for some time. Thanks!!

Hey, Len. I love your quote about laying down your musical preferences for your grandchildren. Wish I'd read it last year when some grandmas were using the praise band for target practice! ---Bert

I'm working on a sermon for Sunday using Matthew 2:13-18...got any ideas? The sermon title is "Hunting Season During Christmas." Big question for me right now is...what kind of God becomes the hunted?
