Leo Veil entre très tôt dans la nightlife au Maroc. Il est tour à tour physio, RP, chargé de bookings et Directeur Artistique dans les clubs les plus réputés de la capitale. Il a été à l’origine des premiers bookings de DJs internationaux au Maroc en 2003 (Benny Benassi, Antoine Clamaran, Laurent Wolf…) et lancera de ce fait la tendance House qui fait aujourd’hui du Royaume l’un des hauts lieux de l’électro-clubbing mondial.
C’est au contact de ces grands noms de la musique électronique qu’il décide de s’orienter vers le DJing et passe derrière les platines. C’est une véritable révélation : Leo découvre que ce qu’il aime, c’est faire vibrer les gens. Il se forge une solide réputation de showman, aimant tout particulièrement les grosses percussions, et devient une icône de la Moroccan House, ce qui lui permet de jouer devant plus de 10 000 spectateurs au célèbre Festival Gnaoua d’Essaouira en 2007 et 2008.
Afin de satisfaire un public avide de nouveautés et de son, Leo signe une résidence hebdomadaire sur Radio 2M, la plus grosse radio marocaine, et lance en parallèle le premier podcast House du Maroc, « The Veil’s Cast », qui dépasse rapidement les 15 000 abonnés. Ce succès est l’une des raisons qui lui ont valu le titre de « Meilleur Dj marocain » aux Maghrib Music Awards 2008.
Après avoir fait danser les foules dans tous les clubs du pays ainsi que de nombreux festivals, il se lance à la conquête des ondes avec son track « I wanna », produit avec la vocaliste Nicole Tyler du Ministry of Sound. S’ouvre alors une nouvelle phase dans le parcours artistique de Leo Veil. Conscient du potentiel de ses productions, il décide de s’y consacrer plus pleinement, et ceci coïncidant avec la remise son diplôme en communication, quitte sa ville natale pour s’installer à Paris.
Il travaille actuellement sur un nouveau morceau qui promet d’être énorme, en collaboration avec David Goncalves, chanteur des Chocolate Puma et de « Freaky Girl » de David Vendetta. Il devrait voir le jour courant 2009.
