Well hey guys, a little history. 3 years ago I landed in San Diego while in the Navy from the island of Japan. I have always... always been interested in my Irish history and background. I rolled into the Dublin Square on either a friday or saturday night (needless to say, I don't remember when I left) I saw you guys playing. Which inspired me as a musician to get back to my roots. You taught me that you could put an edge to Irish folk and pub tunes while keeping it still very traditional (without the punk rock influence). After that I was playing at D.S. on wednesday's, and loved it. I've been playing music for 15 years now, the guitar, mandolin, bodhran, and bass. I've become a better musician listening and being influenced by ALL of your energy. Rhy, good luck on tour, Nino, good luck on taking your road, remember, Not all those who wander are lost, right?
BTW, I'm from Endicott, NY, and there is a very talented Irish dance corp here that (unfortunatly, w/o permission) used your recording of Lanniganz Ball to dance to (courtesy of me giving the director a copy of your cd, i think i've paid 10 fold for cd's in car bombs back then!)
