Influences
..
Live music performances of any sorts, may it be a street performer, a small club or a giant stadium. All the pickers amature or professional, have taught me something . If I must unfairly name a few; Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Stones, Neil Young, John Fogerty, Jimmie Vaughan, B B King, Robert Cray, David Gilmour, Leon Russell, Jeff Beck, Charlie Daniels, Rick Derringer, Gary Moore, Dave Fiester, Guitar Lin, Sue Foley, Janis Joplin, Dire Straits, Hicksville Bombers, Brian Setzer, Lonnie Mack, Aretha Franklin, Blondie, Marshall Tucker, Alice Cooper, Linda Perry, Dena & Company, Savoy Brown, Lenny & ME, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash and so, so, many more..
If you can get past my voice you know, like the 'you can't see the forest for the trees' thing, from what I've been told; I sound like Bob Dylan, J.J. Cale, Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton (yeah right). I pretty much try to sound like me...sorry guys.
I am Les Boyko a Florida native and a "Songwriter". I've got a tuned guitar and songs for hire for anyone who may be interested. I grew up in the small town of Trilby. I write all of my own material and mostly play all of the instruments on my recordings unless otherwise noted. Music, especially "live" music, is my passion in life. Playing music has always been my natural high.
I started laying tracks and recording my original songs which have floated around for years. From an old farmhouse in England, to a hotel in Paris or a remote corner of my home, the songs have been tapped from the well and continues to surface. I had the honor to sit in as a regular on the late Dave Fiester's blues jam sessions on the Space Coast of Florida around 2001. Playing in small clubs among the greatness of Dave and Mark Glisson of the Groove Monsters, was a life altering experience in the most positive sense. I presently live in the northwest and I continue to compose my own songs.
I am not performing at this time. I just want to get my music out in case I get hit by a bus and I hope you will enjoy the music...not me getting hit by a bus.I can’t tell you how exciting it has been to have met so many new, interesting and talented friends. I ask you all to check out my friends profiles. They all are very interesting and there is some music that will knock your socks off!!
I could not imagine a world without music. ‘You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one’…ah.. not my words, but John Lennon said it well didn’t he? Okay, enough of me. Again, please check out my friends, they have some great sights and sounds. All the Best.
Peace.
Les

Thank you so much buddy for your nice words about my new "old" Christmas song. I've been wanting to re-record that one for years. Glad you like it Les - seems a lot of other folks do too. Ray and the band did a great job on it with me too.
We don't have much snow if any at all at the moment where I am here in Canadian cowboy country. They're telling us though to get ready for "a big one" by Thursday.
Hope you enjoy your two weeks off and maybe get some new tunes recorded there in Seattle during the break from the boss.
Wishing you special Christmas dreams and Happy Holidays.
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

Another year is coming to an end. It's been a long and tough year for many and I was no exception to the hard times. I appreciate the patience you've all shown towards me. The good wishes, the caring phone calls, all of the prayers and personal cards but most of all, the committed friendships I have accumulated here on myspace have truly helped me endure the troubles I've faced. For that, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart! Your kindness is beyond words...
I still am struggling to get my music back up to par and get working once again. Right now, I am fighting to get my life's savings back for which I was robbed of. All the lawyers and court appearances are at best tiring. I've been at the lowest of lows in my life, but through all of my friends and God's love, I will come through this!
I wish everyone a prosperous New Year and I wish for you all to keep the love in your hearts for which you've shown. May God Bless you and your families and remember that someone in Florida loves you and is Blessed to have you!
Happy Christmas Les! We posted yet another new song today called "Does Anybody Know". We appreciate the time you take listening and commenting on our songs! Enjoy your evening! :) Dave
May 2010 be a better year for all of us! The very best of Holidays to you and yours from Nashville! Jimmy Roberts - Songwriter / Pedal Steel Guitarist :)
