Brought to life by the work of Case Zebra and Pap Sfroocer, with the quick addition of Sissy on bass, Les Fauves spread their sound –Talking Heads, Television, Violent Femmes, Cramps and Devo sufferer- as far as the international Festival in Benicassim in Spain, the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Imola and on important stages as a support for prestigious bands like Dirty Pretty Things, Gnarls Barkley and Art Brut. Within earshot, press and audience couldn’t do without talking about them. After the entry ..boards of Puxx The Lover, “Our Dildo Can Change your life” was recorded, six tracks and a mix of R’n’R, Pop, Electro-Dance and New Wave celebrated even by the English New Musical Express (NME). Expectations for their first full length album “NALT-1, A Fast Introduction” were really high. Recorded and produced at AlphaDept studios in Bologna by Giacomo Fiorenza and in stores licensed by Urtovox Records from September 2007, this piece of art also had international visibility thanks to their touch on Europe: in May the band brought their show across the continent for the second time, in Belgium, Germany, France and England. Les Fauves proved their ability in going beyond borders –not only geographical ones but also the usual and old musical “genres” ones- thanks to the fresh collaboration with the Techno dub Duo Swayzak: the track “Silent Luv” from their latest album for K7, is written and interpreted by Roberto Papavero from Les Fauves. Moreover, there’s their collaboration with the director Gianni Zanasi for his latest movie “Non Pensarci” (with Mastandrea, Murino, Battiston,…) acclaimed during the last Venice Film Festival and in all European cinemas.
