I'm a writer and singer of songs, a keeper of cattle, (I shoot bull a lot too) a burner of rods...a man, like no other because I am myself. I know, you're sittin' there thinkin' "what the h#$l is he talkin' about and what magic carpet ride is he on now??? Well, if you're thinkin' that, I got your attention and it's the perfect time for me to tell ya that I appreciate you being here. The first line really isn't all that far off from reality. I do write and sing...I'm a 4th generation rancher...I weld a lot for my "day gig"...you get the picture. As you might know, I've taken time off from playing live in order to do a number of things. The BIG one is the fact that my wife and I have been restoring a seventy somthin' year old house out here on the ranch. It was my grandparents house...the house my dad grew up in. It's very special to the both of us and we've been doing the work ourselves in order to save money. Doing it that way makes it that much more special...it's been our hands doing the work...not someone else's. It's all in the family. I've also been writing some. I have my good days and bad days in that area. The good days are marked with full sheets of paper...the not-so-good ones with a couple of lines and a bunch of meaningless scribble. I've been playin' a few acoustic gigs lately and I've been playin' at least once a month at our church. It's all been fun. I'm wantin' to play more...I will play more. I'm also tryin' to tie up loose ends on gettin' the album finished. Once that's done, I'll have a much better idea on the rest of the stuff. I'll keep ya posted. Thanks again, for stopping by.
