About me:
When you read my blog you will probably think I'm totally nuts. The problem is that I really am not. Really! :oP (See my blog titled "Why I Don't Think I'm Crazy") You also might think that I have a very active imagination. Ok, I'm pretty creative and all, but if I could make that kind of stuff up I'd probably be making a lot of money as a fiction writer. The fact is, I stink at writing fiction. I rule at writing true stories and poetry about real life events. I'm also pretty good at research papers, but that is pretty boring. I'm actually kind of a nerd. I like sci fi, am a wiz with computers, and am too smart for my own good. The other option that might come to your mind is that I am a pathological liar. Again, I would have to be a lot more creative to come up with that kind of lie. I'm more of a geek than an artist. I actually suck at lying for the most part. For example, I can honestly tell you that I don't really live in New York. I just thought that giving out my real location might not be wise given the circumstances. Oh yeah, and Leslie Powers is a made up name too. See how bad I suck at lying? I've already blown it twice. I just don't want to make it too easy for the wrong people to find me. Regardless of what you think of my blog, I still want to be your friend if you want. The only thing that I ask is that you read my blog with an opened mind and draw your own conclusions. I know it is a really powerful statement and pretty over-the-top. I don’t really know how to soften it. Simply put, it is the truth. Anyways, I hope to hear from you soon. –Leslie

A FEW THOUGHTS ABOUT 911:
Along with the rest of the World, I watched in horror the events surrounding September 11, 2001. I remember feeling sad and helpless during the days and weeks that followed. I also remember feeling proud of the way that New York and the rest of the World came together to help the victims and their families. I even donated to some of the causes. I also wondered if there was anything more I could do to help. Most of all, I wanted justice for those who had been wounded or lost their lives. I wanted Osama Bin Laden and his followers rounded up and brought to trial as quickly as possible. I even supported the efforts in Afghanistan emotionally because I thought that going there could make a difference in fighting terrorism. Finally, five years later, I figured out a way to make a difference in fighting terrorism. This is what I am going to blog about. Be sure and check it out. You should check out the archive too because I'm sure you will want to get the whole story.
