Bio
Lesní zver released their debut album in summer 2009. You can listen to some tracks from it in the myspace player. We are a four-piece combo from Brno, the Czech Republic. The core of the band consists of Jirí Hradil (keyboards, flute), Martin Cech (drums and percussion), Miloš Rejsek (vocals, delay, looper, jaw harp, melodica, kaoss), and Marek Steyer on trumpet. Our music could be described as a wild mixture of nu-jazz, psychedelia and drum'n'bass. The structures of our compositions span from simple songs to purely improvised, interweaving stuff, when we basically let the music spontaneously drive us on in unintended directions. It may end up in heavenly arcs of spiritual joy or a roaring hell. Pure musical adventure. Lesní zver has gigged various prestigious venues in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany; we played at Jazz Goes to Town festival (Hradec Králové 2005), New Jazz Days (Bratislava 2006), Silent Friday (Stuttgart 2008) and Lotos Jazz Festival (Bielsko Biala 2010).
