Parents born in Algeria, Grand-parents born in Spain, Gil Aniorte-Paz has the strong desire to gather musicians and singers from both sides of the Mediterranean to offer "Les Orientales", a tribute to the greatest songs of the Algerian Music-Hall.
The string orchestra of the Algerian Radio under the artistic direction of Barrio Chino, a group from Marseilles, gathered to form and bring alive a Franco-Algerian formation.
The purpose is to discover or rediscover the famous musical repertory from the 40's to the 60's, and to retransmit it.
The interpreters of this artistic creation are the Algerian Mona, Sylvie Aniorte-Paz from Barrio Chino and Saleha Moudjari, Algerian girl who grew up in france.
In addition to cultural enrichment "Les Orientales" have an objective to visit and revisit each song, offering it in a contemporary dimension without losing its character
