Us playing. We get everything from "indie prog rock" to "The Pixies". Often elliptical but we try to make you dance.
Les Parallelions have been known to have our own parades, complete with clap-rhythm and call-backs, all the way from the jam space to the bar. We really, really like rocking out, but we cannot do it all the time or our hands would wear down into stumps like HB pencils. We need our hands for high-fiving each other a lot. A lot. Also we are all 'water monkeys', if that means anything to you.
Aynsley is from Osoyoos, British Columbia, which has scorpions as well as black widow spiders and rattlesnakes. This explains why she deceptively plays right handed bass even though she is sinister. The abs, they stings. Eileen can totally kick her ass.
Beatrice considers Québec City her hometown and speaks with an affected heavy Quebecois accent. She will only play drums while wearing high heels, having commenced both practices simultaneously early in 2006. When asked if she knew persons responsible for an inspired piece of graffiti recently, she responded, "No, we don't KNOW them. We TRAINED the motherfuckers."
Eileen grew up in Rolling Hills, Alberta, where she stereotypically rode horses and shot guns until discovering punk rock and guitaring. She is the best at drinking and wears shorty shorts even when it is socially inappropriate. Also, her front teeth are ENTIRELY FAKE, which is why she is chickenshit about riding her bike during daylight.
One time I saw this raccoon which climbed up a tree, but it took him a long time because he had a wounded paw. He looked out across the street, and then he climbed down again. I guess he must have decided that there was too much traffic, because he kathunked along to the corner and waited for the light to change before he crossed at the crosswalk.
Attention----Let it be known- Eileen has nearly ended her shorty-shorts-wearing days....Rise up in protest!! Start your online petitions. Call our 1-800 numbers. Make your voice heard!
That was an excellent set at The Velvet Underground, great harmonies, supercharged yet playful indie-rock that really lightened up the room. Onwards and upwards for the band.
nice set at Teranga last night. The high heels adds sex appeal to garage rock. The female harmonies over top the distorted instruments adds so much to the sound - impressive after running a marathon! Looking forward to watching you grow.
