About me: It all started as a friendship story and it still is. It all started as a joke and it became serious – even if we still laugh at it... Les Putafranges are four friends, Bénédicte, Cécile, Jessica et Tania, in love with good music, crazy for parties, who find themselves, like magic, behind the turntables. The right girls at the right place at the right moment as one could say. It all began in 2001 on a hot summer roof, on the top of the parisian media building of Nova, with a little gig under the sun. The word spread out, the sounds echoes and the newcomers are booked for another party. They need a name, the catchiest name, a name to remember, a name that clash, a name that shock : les Putafranges (the whores with bangles...) are born. After two years of funky mixes and hysterical audience, these ladies find a monthly residency in the new parisian club, le Triptyque, and glamourise the electronic scene with there mythical parties Chiennes Hi-Fi, entirely dedicated to feminine artists. From their debut sets in weirdo caverns to their bookings deluxxe, including their mixes for the pochiest events, les Putafranges made themselves a name and created a trend. With a hype credibility all around Paris and beyond, they succeeded in crazy, feasty and different sets. Five years of hard work and pure fun, five years to innovate in style and attitude (some tried to copy – what a Louis Vuitton waste of time..!), and les Putafranges refreshed the Gai Paris with some elegance and delicacy, without ever taking it too seriously. And, waow, it works... Because girls change, les Putafranges grow up and evoluate ; some do babies, some do parties... Bénédicte left for her lovely kiddy meanwhile Cécile, Jessica and Tania continue on the big adventure with a brand new monthly residency, the Nanomicromono, this time in the very fresh and trendy Paris-Paris, without ever stopping their several associations with brands and other projects. The threesome gets wiser, stronger, more feminine, even more chic and loves more than ever what it does. Proud to be les Putafranges...
