Vocalist and percussionist Steve Lessick and singer/songwriter Rob Lincoln teamed up in 1989 to create the harmony filled duo Lessick & Lincoln. They performed mostly throughout the mid-Atlantic states from 1989 through 1995. Venues they frequently performed at included the Postcrypt Coffeehouse, the Minstrel Coffeehouse, the Mine Street Coffeehouse, the Mermaid Inn and the Crossroads Cafe. Their only official CD release, Other Lives, gained some airplay on Philadelphia, NJ and NYC area folk stations. It is still available at cdbaby.com. In 2007, L&L plan to release a limited edition live CD of songs not available on Other Lives. In addition, at least 10 heretofore unheard of studio cuts of songs that were not selected for that CD but are high quality performances and recordings will be released in the future as well. Also stay tuned for the 2007 release of About Time, a CD by The Men From When, a harder edged rock band comprised of Rob and Steve along with avant garde electric guitarist/composer Art Cohen. Meanwhile Rob's entire song catalogue is being rerecorded at soundclick.com/roblincoln.......................................................................
L&L have not performed live in quite a while, but in their heyday, this is how two of the venues they performed at described them:
"High powered original material featuring driving rhythms and close harmony"
---The Minstrel Coffeehouse.
"A dynamic duo...with unique harmonies and an authentic style that's unmistakably their own blend."
---The Postcrypt Coffeehouse
