Influences
I grew up in the 1980ies and so I love listening to the music of those days, mainly to Minimal Electronics, Synthie-Pop, New Romantic, New Wave, Industrial and Experimental/Avantgarde - to name a few labels nowadays in use to classify independent music. Anyway, to list a few of my very very favourite bands, who all have a defintive impact on my musical thinking in a more or less explicit way, here they are: 400 Blows, A Blaze Colour, Absolute Body Control, Art of Noise, Blancmange, Chrome, Coil, Crash Course In Science, Damon Edge, De Fabriek, DIN A Testbild, DZ Lectric, El Aviador Dro, Esplendor Geometrico, Experimental Products, Geile Tiere, Grauzone, Helios Creed, H.N.A.S., Heaven 17, Hunting Lodge, Ian North, Ice The Falling Rain, Indochine, Informatics, Jad Wio, Jeff & Jane Hudson, John Bender, John Foxx, KAS Product, Kissing The Pink, La Nuit, Liaisons Dangereuses, Malaria, Magazine, Martin Dupont, Matthias Schuster (greetings!), Neon, No More, Nocturnal Emissions, Nurse With Wound, Nuvo Bloc, OMD, OTO, P1/E, Rational Youth, Rescue One, Richard Bone, Schleimer K., Secession, Second Decay, Severed Heads, Shoc Corridor, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Skinny Puppy, Soft Cell, Soma Holiday, Sonic Youth, Suicide, Testcard F, The Creatures, The Danse Society, The Fast Set, The Gadgets, The Human League, The Neon Judgement, The Proximate Force, The Residents, Tödliche Doris, Trisomie 21, Twice A Man, Valek, Vice Versa, Vicious Pink, Xmal Deutschland, Zero Kama ... ah, there are so many to name, that I will continue this list in the near future. -tbc-

Remixes of the songs will be done by a handful of legendary Electro New Wave artists. These remixes will not be available on MySpace. More news will follow.
We are chuffed about the confirmation of their contribution of the following artists:
After a big break first Laténces Périodiques was formed in 2004, which was joined by Tiret’s companion in life, Deux-Points, in 2006, leading to a change of the name, due to reconsidering musical orientation, into Les Sirènes Débrouillardes. First to suggest not only a preference for the French language but to point to the ancient origin of singing itself: the myth of the Sirens, long before they were abandoned by Homer in the Odyssey, and second to put the band itself in a frame of an arts project. Regarding live gigs it is planned e. g. to make extensively use of film and diascope for each single song, which shall emphasize the musical impact.
The sound of the band combines typical Minimal Electronic soundscapes, elements of the classical New Wave and the Harsh Noise Industrial of the late 1970s and early 1980s and an extensive use of polyrhythms to a unique atmospheric sound. The main focus is on the instrumental composition, which is rather seldom accompanied by an often breathless eurhythmy shaped, repeated sprechgesang. Due to this the song becomes more and more hypnotic in effect and helps to build up a sirenic sound through a synthetic arrangement.
Recent arrangements tend to be more close to the noncommercial and experimental synth music of the 1980s and are geared to examples like John Bender, Colin Potter, Vice Versa, the early The Human League/The Future, 400 Blows, Kissing The Pink, Art of Noise and Vicious Pink.
Deeply influenced by the music of the 1980s and especially the so called New Wave scene Arndt, Oliver and Tiret formed their first band around 1989 and it was named in relation to Dante Alighieris La Divina CommediaLa Passion Beatrice. Tiret was chiefly interested in synth programming, while the other two were concerned with drums and vocals. However, this project didn't last for long and Tiret left the band in 1991 to break new ground. In 1994 he met a musician from Dortmund in a club, where he and a friend were searching for a new keyboarder, after a long talk Tiret and his former girlfriend woke up being members of the Industrial band Scoria Head, which was somehow effective. The band did some gigs in Germany: Hagen, Düsseldorf, Krefeld, Bochum, etc. and had some releases, mainly K7s. After Tiret left the band there have been releases on compilations and also solo CD releases by the remaining members. But however Tiret left the band in 1996 due to personal differences. The main point going back to his synths is based on his friendship to Andreas Sippel, co-founder and member of the well known German Synth-Pop band Second Decay and his incredible and helpful knowledge on synth programming and his passion and patience for making music.
