Lessons from Lois's Blurbs |
About me:
Eighteen years ago, I was newly remarried. My 4 children were in grade school. I owned my own business, working as a sales and service rep in 20 retail stores. I was happy. So happy that I was afraid.
In a split second, everything changed. Without warning, a utility truck crashed into the back of my car, and shattered my promising future. The resulting brain injury I suffered destroyed my life plans, but not my spirit.
"Hangin' on with humor" and learning how to laugh in the midst of devastating circumstances were the "magic wands" that rescued me from the distress and despair surrounding my every day, and initiated my recovery.
Today, I am a professional speaker, who passionately paves the way for others to rebound "when life looks ugly." My personal story stimulates people to examine their own response to challenge and adversity, embrace their circumstances and discover the "treasures in their trials."
"Lessons from Lois" contain life-changing insights and strategies, with practical application for participants to develop creative solutions to manage the unpredictable, swift pace of everyday life, and adjust to constant change.
My universal message offers hope, inspires others to be faithful to do the small things, and conquer their challenges one day at a time.
In addition, I present a variety of programs which are specific to brain injury. My specialty is to instill a special gift of self-acceptance for persons living with a brain injury, and provide insights and tools to help them redefine their life purpose and feel happy.
