Some past reviews:
James Duncan "Night Tracks" 2005 "Extra special New York flavour from Metro Area's live hornsman, James Duncan. At a rate of about a 12" every three years, this guy has consistently released some top rated material intermittently over the and this EP is no exception. Three untitled tracks of excellent deep house with old school New York shades (Pal Joey, Nu Groove etc.) and hints of the Detroit and Chicago and sounds of the likes of Theo Parrish and Larry Heard respectively." - Piccadilly Records (record of the week)
James Duncan "Times Like These" 2003 "Normally reserved for free jazz releases by other artists, James Duncan's label now dances to the beat of his own creations. Having graced Metro Area and other Environ releases with his trumpet, Duncan's own music comes from the same school of rubbery disco-tech-house as his mate, Morgan Geist. Four tracks of superb, diverse underground sounds. And the minimal label has even got a picture of 'Mr. October', controversial Yankees slugger Reggie Jackson!" - Piccadilly Records (record of the week)
