For one to have years of experience as a lyricist, MC, engineer, web designer, label owner and now starting in production is one to be clearly looked as an entrepreneur, but having all that experience at only the age of seventeen is phenomenal. Garett Southerton better known by stage name Lethal Illness (formerly Young'n) is that Long Island, New York born and raised entrepreneur who has been killing the Myspace freestyle charts in the past year. L.I.'s most recent project "Soul Purpose" Mixtape (released under Young'n) featured underground hits such as "20 for 20" and "Getting Over It". "Soul Purpose" was such success despite the fact it was only recorded with a computer microphone due to L.I.'s studio being under construction and lack of funding. In the past, L.I. has reached as high as number one in New York and number three in the world on the Myspace freestyle charts, dominating many famous artists with no friend adding software. Just pure promotion of the music Myspace player on multiple sites.
Currently, Lethal Illness is preparing for his up-and-coming project "Story of My Life" which will be his first in studio mixtape. The "Story of My Life" mixtape is expected to release mid 2009. "Story of My Life" consists of true Hip Hop in its most lyrical and realest form with stories, struggles, and real freestyling. Expected featured artists as of now are MoSs A.D., Epik, and Tuffy. As for producers it has been stated that 2Deep (Anno Domini), VTZ, Hala-X (Shadowville), and MoSs A.D. play a bigger role in credits.
After always living a life of Hip Hop the dream began almost 8 years ago in the battling scene. For years, L.I. dominated text and vocal online battles along with fellow MC, Tuffy. In 2005, L.I. decided it was time he move in as an artist and not just a battle MC. Soon there after he established his own record label, Spitting Fire Records. Under the labels near 3 year run, before being terminated due to artist inactivity and legal issues, Spitting Fire had near 12 artists in all (including new artists that were never officially introduced).

It isn't hard to see that L.I. is not just another artist trying to make a quick buck or create a fad.
