    Opera Magazine (United Kingdom) has hailed Soprano Leticia Brewer as "a young soprano of magnetic charm, sumptuous voice and great musical intelligence" and LaScena Musicale (Montréal) has called her a soprano with "the makings of an important lirico-spinto". Ms. Brewer is a graduate of the Atelier Lyrique of Opéra de Montréal and McGill University. Ms. Brewer’s most recent operatic performances include Liù (Turandot) at the Vienna Volksoper, Susanna (Il Segreto di Susanna) for the Atelier Lyrique of Opéra de Montréal, 2nd Lady (The Magic Flute) for Pacific Opera Victoria, Orchestra London and the Banff Centre for the Arts, Mimi (La Bohème) at the Music Academy of the West and Soleà (El Gato Montés) for Toronto’s Opera in Concert. Other roles include Polissena (Radamisto), Lisetta (Il Mondo della Luna), Georgietta (Il Tabarro), Elettra (Idomeneo) & Ariadne (Ariadne auf Naxos). Ms. Brewer’s oratorio repertoire includes Mahler’s 2nd Symphony & Das Klagende Lied, the Dvorak Requiem, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem,Verdi’s Messa di Requiem and Britten’s War Requiem. In concert, Ms. Brewer has performed Mahler’s Rückert Lieder and Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder with Montréal’s Orchestre Leonardo da Vinci, Mahler’s Fourth Symphony with the Montréal Civic Orchestra and La Bohème excerpts with the National Arts Centre Orchestra. As a recitalist, Ms. Brewer has appeared under the auspices of the Lakeshore Chamber Music Society and Musica Camerata Montreal. In 2007 she was a prize-winner in the Montreal International Music Competition and a finalist in the Eastern Region MONC Auditions. Ms. Brewer has been the recipient of an encouragement award from the Marilyn Horne Foundation and grants from the Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation, and the Canada Council for the Arts. In 2009 Ms. Brewer was featured on the Bravo TV series Broadway Melodies, performing songs by Kurt Weill.
