Outside of family time, I consider myself pretty active. I love going to the gym and make it a point to get on the basketball court three nights a week. I also live for golf season. I'm into a lot of sports; my teams are the North Carolina Tar Heels, Chicago White Sox, and Miami Dolphins. I'll also watch golf on TV (which my wife loves) and follow Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods.
Other than sports, I'm involved in politics. I volunteered for a Senate campaign a couple of years ago and am planning on doing it again here for the upcoming elections. I won't get into lectures here because there's enough of that stuff everywhere you turn right now.
Music
Drum corps music occupies my mp3 and CD players. On the off chance I'm not jamming to that, I'll be listening to jazz or classical music. Pretty strange, huh?
Movies
Not really into movies anymore. My all time favorite movie was "Hudson Hawk" with Bruce Willis. I don't know why, but it cracks me up every time I see it.
Television
The only show I watch religiously is "Lost." Other than that the TV is on whatever cartoons my kids are into at the current time. The favorite right now seems to be Scooby Doo, which is fine by me.
About me: What can I say? Pretty average.
All through high school, I was heavily involved in music and even studied music education in college. The only good thing that came of that was meeting my wife of nearly seven years.
I also marched for three years with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. That gave me the opportunity to perform and travel all across the country. Those summers were some of the best of my life.
My wife and I have two amazing children that keep us pretty busy. Our daughter is four (going on 16) and our son is two. They're a handful, but I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world and they are a ton of fun.
Orginally, I'm from North Carolina (go Tar Heels!) but currently reside in Omaha, Nebraska. You can thank the US Air Force for that. Through my summers with Madison and my dad's service in the Air Force, I've seen many different states and countries I don't think I would have seen had anything been different.
Who I'd like to meet: Since I'm a big sports person, I'd love to meet Tiger Woods. I've never seen a person with that much focus and competitive drive. I think it would be fascinating to pick his brain and find out what goes on in his brain on the golf course.
