Who I'd like to meet:
here's a review of Let's go to UTAH!
" It's been my good fortune to preview the first four issues of Dave Chisholm's unique series "Let's Go to Utah!" as he posted up pages over at deviantart.com. I didn't have to read too many panels before finding myself well engrossed in the story of a boy with bad dreams who takes a car ride with a mysterious stranger across the wastelands of middle America. Chisholm's seems to be crafting a story that is part film noir, part road picture and crawling with weird. Chisholm excels at leaving his readers teetering on the brinks of their seats and wondering mightily what might come skidding around the next curb like Steve McQueen on a bender. His art is vibrant and loose, adding much to his excellent action scenes and occasional bouts of flying fists, baseball bats and etc. His brush work is perhaps most comparable to that of Paul Pope but with Dave's own lanky and dingy jeans style that suits the narrative to a tee. I'm very excited to finally see this series in print and I heartily recommend it to any readers interested in crime mysteries, fast cars, beatings with baseball bats, truckers, truck stops, junk yards, cigarettes, psychopaths and Utah. Enjoy."
