Geschichte:
Was ist los mit dem Indie Pop in Berlin? Es gibt mehr als den Szene Hype. Eine Menge an vielversprechenden Bands aus der Twee, C86, Indie P!O!P und Shoegaze Szene, die einen neuen frischen ehrlichen Sound spielen, fernab von großen Labels, überproduzierten Einheitssounds und aufgeblasenen Hypes. Unabhängig voneinander formierten sich die Pop Enthusiasten, das.. p!o!p kombinat berlin und die Pop Assistants um das zu ändern. Bands wie Fosca, Secret Shine, The Lucksmiths, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Television Personalities, Northern Portrait, The Bats, Liechtenstein und viele mehr, wurden so auf die Bühnen Berlins geholt und mit dabei immer der Plattenkoffer mit den Schätzen aus der Welt des P!O!P.
Nun heißt es P!O!P Kids of the World unite und wir machen weiter zusammen unter dem Namen:

Story:
What's up with the Indie Pop scene in Berlin? There's more to it than the usual hype! There are loads of up and coming bands with a twee, c86, indie P!O!P and shoegaze background who have a refreshing, down to earth sound. Pop enthusiasts p!o!p kombinat berlin and Pop Assistants founded their club nights separately from each other to support this scene, far off major record labels, radio shows and German music press and to have their favourite bands playing here in Berlin. Secret Shine, The Lucksmiths, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Television Personalities, Northern Portrait, The Bats, Liechtenstein, Eux Autres, Burning Hearts, Epic45 and many more have played here.
Since the beginning of 2010 we have merged into one:
Let's kiss and make up!
That means popkids of the world unite! With our joint efforts we keep putting on gigs and playing our favourite records for everyone who likes to join our party.
