Band MembersAlex Beynon (drums), Andy Clift (singing), James McQueen (bass), Miles Jordan (guitar).
InfluencesThe melodic marvellousness of the well crafted popular song. Bruce Thomas, Lemonheads, Hem, Steely Dan, The Doors, Beach Boys, modern bands who went to see Brian Wilson and think he is great, Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategy, Midlake, The Earlies, Grandaddy, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello (obviously the classic early period when he still used to make funny films), Lloyd Cole, David Bowie, Deerhoof, The Rolling Stones (paint it black you devils), The Poseurs, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Magnetic Fields, Frank Sinatra, Transmitters, Jeff Tweedy, REO Speedwagon, Scott Walker, Pizzicato Five, Lyle Lovett, The Wondermints, Blue Aeroplanes, The Bluetones, XTC, Lullaby Baxter Trio, Fleet Foxes, The Carpenters, Judas Priest, Not Quite Scene, Squeeze, Orange Juice (have you heard the guitar solo in Louise?), The Charlatans, Talking Heads, The Feeling, The Fratellis, lots of others from the 21st century, I can only think of DJ Otzi at the moment and OBVIOUSLY not him. Is Les Dennis in a band?
Sounds LikeThe sound you hear standing behind a waterfall, but with a verse, chorus, verse, bridge bit, solo chorus, chorus and fade. The climb to this waterfall is along well maintained paths, stepped and with hand rails over the difficult bits. Who says we don't look after you? Sometimes if you are lucky you will see bats flying in the middle of the day.

   About Luge
The streets are empty, but a low rumbling is heard. It's coming nearer! Bringing the joy of disappointment into your lives, and hopefully a little sun, navigating the dark streets to be with you, Luge come hurtling into view on a wheeled tea tray of niftily arranged and tuneful songs about the confusion and difficulty that is modern living. If it's going to be all downhill from here Luge will make certain it's an entertaining ride. The West London quartet play drums, bass and guitar, topped with a generous baritone voice and vocal harmonies. Luge take the air and pile smash smack into the neatly parked car of your preconceptions. Eh!? We've been on paternity leave but now we are back, new songs, new arrangements, new thick hairs growing in hitherto hairless places. Be prepared to be thrilled (though not necessarily by the hair). In the meantime listen to the snippets from our John Emmerson produced debut album, Let's Luge.

The wonderful team at Stone Island Records have now listed our debut album 'LoveTel Motel' on their excellent website www. stoneislandrecords. com under the category heading of Classic Rock. You can now order your very own copy of this long awaited and much discussed LP recording by Magic Ship from Stone Island Records by clicking the image above. We hope that you enjoy listening to this album as much as we enjoyed making it. And don't forget that we mixed it so that you will be able to get the most out of it through either earphones or speakers, just so long as you remember to play it loud! Dancing is unavoidable. Grab a copy before it's too late.

May the seasonal compliments from Luge be returned, in the most courteous sense, by the Chief Stan. You shall indeed see us upon the stage presently...

Well I would come, had the garden gnomes not brutally murdered me and sold my body-parts to a crazed scientist from Azerbaijan. I now have three legs and therefore can only listen to music in 9/8. Sorry.

I really think it's time you took those books back to the library. As a wanna be librarian who has fought off an army of sea-monsters while being trapped between two particularly large volumes of Proust, I'm on the side of the book-lenders.
Muchas gracias
