Letters To Elise was formed in November of 2004, (at the time was known as LateSlip) by Chris Marchlinski (lead vocals and bass), Brandon Pomerleau (guitar and backup vocals) and Dylan Noonan (drums). The band changed its name in July of 2007 to Letters To Elise, with a new musical sense of direction and a new member, Mike Iwanyshyn (keyboards). In the summer of 2008, Nolan Ryan replaced drummer Dylan Noonan.
In the beginning, because of their young age and inexperience in the local Edmonton music scene, the Band worked very hard to prove themselves as musicians and to gain the trust of their fans. After four years of perseverance in the music industry, promoting themselves, getting to know the right people and perfecting their unique sound, the members of Letters To Elise have proven their talent and their ability as musicians. In those four years the guys have befriended local bands such as: Sex With The City, No More Parachute, Radioforhelp, Stand By Me, Perfect Blue as well as many other bands. Letters To Elise has also performed with bigger bands such as: blessthefall, Bleed The Dream, Ten Second Epic, The Black Maria, Social Code, The Holly Springs Disaster and This Very Day.
Their full-length debut album, titled “Secret Lines”, was released October 10th and are planning a tour for August, 2009.
The future is looking bright for Letters To Elise and you can expect much more from them in the years to come. With their insanely catchy choruses, bouncy guitar riffs and heart-stopping drum beats, Letters To Elise is a name that you will be hearing much more of in the very near future.
