A Funky, Bluesy, Rootsy band that makes you dance.
Let The Cat Out started as a funk/jazz project with Randal, Al, Gillan and Henry in mid 2007. After one gig at Lizbon Bar in Hobart, the guys realised that they had a pretty happenin' little combo; the band had a connection that made for a great vibe and some crackin tunes! The next gig they had booked was a Friday evening session at the Salamanca Arts Centre Courtyard, better known as the Rektango Courtyard. The week before this gig, Randal suggested that they get Jane McArthur on board to add some sweet vocals and do some of her tunes. At the subsequent rehearsal, the guys were blown away by Jane's powerful, soulful voice and well written, groove heavy, riff laden tunes. The Courtyard gig went off, despite bad weather, and word spread. As a result, the lineup now has Jane as a permanent member of Let The Cat Out, and the band is now concentrating on performing and recording her tunes.
Let the Cat Out have just released their Debut Album "Get It Like That"! It's available through Only Blues Music, through the band themselves and on iTunes.
