Bio
Some many months ago three strangers came together to play music. What came was a cacophony of noise. Fortunately their ambition far exceeded their talent, and several hugs and a fist fight later and the resolve of three friends had hardened. It was the feeling of a rubber band finally released after years in suspension. The Three Vacants spent the next year indulging together and honing down their sound. What eventually came out was a more melodic, albeit a slightly more focused cacophony of noise. Over many more months the three cam padres played shows around New Zealand with bands as diverse as The Mint Chicks, Kill surf city, die!die!die, Pluto, this night creeps, the shaky hands, so so modern and Teenwolf . The range of bands is a testament to the broad range of influence in their music. After a nation wide tour they eventually joined forces with the mighty mole music, who became the medium for the three boys music and a crutch to six tired legs. At this point the Vacants took what is commonly known as a hiatus. Stories of the bands sometimes chaotic, sometimes fine tuned, always unpredictable live show slipped into a myth like status in the underground music scene. Had they split up? Had they crossed shores? In reality the three sons were nursing their aforementioned tired legs, and tending to their newly acquired drug habits. After working on new material the three began recording at studio 203. The proverbial fruit of their labor is In Transit, a 38 minute statement of intent that is both eclectic and utterly convincing. ..Vacants - Black Iris...... .. .. .. .. ......Add to My Profile.. | ..
