Since forming in the fall of 2004, Level Route has opened up for Texas music sensations such as Trent Willmon, The Mike McClure Band,Bleu Edmonson, Mark David Manders, Redneck,Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland, Stoney Larue, The Great Divide, Brandon Jenkins, The Randy Rogers Band, Brandon Rhyder, and Rodney Pyeatt. Level Route has taken their special brand of music to venues all over Texas,Oklahoma,Arkansas,andLouisana packing houses with their raw, high energy live performances.
In March of 2007 the band released thier debut album on the Boo Hatch Records Independent label. The "Self Titled" project was produced by Red Dirt pioneer Mike McClure and engineered by Travis Linville at Dirty Bird Studios in Norman, OK. Mixing and mastering was done by Joe Hardy, Casa de Joe, Houston, TX. Hardy's long list of credits include, most notably, Steve Earle's Copperhead Road album. The first single from the record, "Rolling Stone" spent several weeks in the top 30 on the Texas Music Chart and peaked at 16
In September of 2007 the band made a major lineup change . Lead guitarist Coby Reese and drummer Jason Pruett left to pursue other projects .Bassist Jeremy Lee called upon his two younger brothers Brack Key (lead guitar)and Rodney Key (drums)to fill the void.
In March of 2009 Level Route called it quits . All the guys are still friends and continue to make new music with their various projects.
In September of 2009 Lead singer Zack Jones began recording his first solo record with producer Mike McClure ,due out sometime in 2010.
Coby Reese has been bending the strings in the band Whiskey Roadshow since his departure from LR .They continue to burn up the roads with their live show and have a new record about to drop anytime.
After a short stint with Fat Dixie Jason Pruett teamed back up with LR Bassist Jeremy Lee and they ARE the back line for Merrol Ray and The Regulators. Let's not forget about Brack and Rodney Key though! Brack is now playing with Grayson County Line .Lighting up the stage with his explosive guitar work. Rodney is now laying down his amazing beats for The Oliver White Group. SO...... keep supporting all these wonderful musicians ,buy thier new records and go to the shows!! SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC
