   About Levity Project

Our new album is out! You can purchase high quality mp3s of the album from our label, Sleep-over records. Purchase the Album!

Also, our website has been overhauled completely and now includes a section dedicated to the songs - you can listen to them while browsing the site and read-up on the song meanings as well as download a lovely PDF of the lyrics.

Cds will be available shortly through CD baby, and soon after that, iTunes, Napster, amazon, Walmart etc ...

A Big part of our mission as a band is to donate profits to missions - so that is exactly what we will be doing. There are two candidates that we are praying about support with not only money, but our time as volunteers. The first is the wellspring community in Roatan Honduras - http://www.wellspringcommunity.cc. Wellspring is a budding missions project in the heart of one of the poorest areas of Coxen Hole - the largest city on the island. The community will be Training North and Latin Americans in missional living and they will be reaching out to the poor in Coxen hole through a local Church partnership.

The second is a global ministry program being run at our home Church in St Catharine's, Canada - Harbour Fellowship. The program is being run through PACE ministries in Kenya, Africa and includes a Bible college as well as outreach to the village of Nyahururu, Kenya and locations in Rwanda. One of the goals of this program is to equip Kenyan and Rwandan pastors with the tools and skills for creating local self-sustaining Church bodies that have the ability and drive to reach out into other communities and spread the good news.

The word levity has several meanings - and these are the reason we chose our name - Change, and lightness in weight (i.e. levitation).

Life is comprised of challenges whether it be educational, work, spiritual or relational. Any challenge ultimately starts as spiritual and then moves it's way into other realms of our lives. The challenges I have faced in my own life have been at times truly faith-rocking and trying, but have always taught me something about myself, the world around me, or God. Sometimes, the lessons are harsh and seem unforgiving, but I have learned that when this world is unforgiving, God is always forgiving and ready to extend grace. This deeply moves me and I try my best to perpetuate this sentiment and live life fully, humbly and passionately. I see life itself as a lesson of self-discovery and learning to love people, regardless of the situation.

The music of Levity Project is biographical and passionate, emotional and expressive - it takes our experiences through times of change, hurt, sorrow and joy and turns them into something tangible ... something good. These songs are a metaphor of life, and collectively a parable of the great struggle to find faith in a world that denies it.

click.listen.enjoy ... but most of all, enjoy.

well yours isn't that bad, gulp!!! just kidding! well at least you get to be the teacher and not the student! lecture style is so boring! i wanna go back to where the teachers photo copy everything for you and you do minimal writing! so did ya hear i got my rug in and my bathroom back! it looks sweet, a little bit overboard on the blue, but still nice! so maybe you can get taryn to do all my english papers! i suck at writing and well you know taryn, A+ honours! her and nicky took all the fricken smarts in the family! well tell taryn i said hi (aka give her a good pinch for me)!
