...at the lake of constance, leyk grew up in a quite protected and musical environment, playing the piano and the double bass besides singing in the local church choir. since 1994 he has been a native berliner.
after getting his decks in 1999, he first started tingeling through the local berliner bar scene as dj "like". things went well, so "like" made his first club appearance at the globus/tresor by the end of 2002.
in 2003 leyk and his dj-partner wimpy successfully established a regular party at globus/tresor called "woitek&leyk". being homeless, after the tresor closed down in 2005, they managed to find a new club, that would fully come up to their demands: the raumklang in friedrichshain. check "woitekundleyk" on myspace or "www.woitekundleyk.de" for more information about them. now, after the reopening of the new tresor in may..07, woitek&leyk are back at their place of origin.
besides his residency at the bonito house club @ globus/tresor, leyk has been playing at clubs like the so36, maria am ufer, watergate, raumklang, ritterhof, club labitzke (zurich, ch) and gave numerous appearances at the spacebeach and partys like forbidden fruits at central park, fellow tubes, krawallschachtelclub and others.

musically, leyk..s not just determined on one style, even though there is a slight tendence to a certain minimal sound, as long as it has a distinguishable melody and warmth in it. plain geklicker means nothing to him. besides that:
"there..s too much good music out there, than just to stay minimal" ;-))
