Leyna Noel is a singer and multi-instrumentalist from San Francisco whose music deals alternately in mellow meditations and heavy, mood-swept confrontations. Placing her clear, bell-like voice at the center,and using spare, deliberate accompanient, she crafts potent, emotionally-charged art songs that draw on a nomadic childhood spent on the auto racing circuit (no lie), advanced studies in electro-acoustic compostion and theory at Mills and a rich personal canon of vocal music. Her band, the Finer Things, currently features Erase Errata drummer Bianca Sparta and New, Improved Recording headmaster Eli Crews.
