| About El Fabuloso (Added more songs!) |
El Fabuloso was formed in the summer of 2006 in Athens, OH at Ohio University. Allen Sanders (vocals, guitars), Nick Yezza (synth, keys) and Bryan Overholt (drums, vocals) wanted to move on from their former projects and try something new -- music that had driving rhythms and power yet had pop and dance elements. They worked all summer on their music and took the new tracks into the recording studio, resulting in their debut album "A Fine Time to Get Down" produced by Adam Fox at Foxlab studios. The CD came out in Spring of 2007 and features 12 tracks of fresh pop punk sounds with plenty of riffage AND dance breaks. Since the album released the band has been playing shows in and around the Athens area while still going to school. Even though the band has only been together for such a short time, they've been able to play with several prominent national touring acts, including Meese (Atlantic Records) and the Ataris. The band hasn't been able to tour much, but are no strangers to the road. In past projects the members have toured throughout the midwest and east U.S. and they were honored to share the stage with such great acts as Hawthorne Heights, Hit the Lights, Punchline, Breaking Pangea (RIP), Spitalfield, Silverstein and others.
El Fabuloso, through hard work, dedication to their music and keeping everything fun, have etched themselves into the hearts of their fans and plan on playing more and more shows and interacting with more and more people. They realize that the fans are what make the music scene work and strive to please them with their high energy live shows. Playing in front of 5 fans or 500 is no different to them, because in their eyes, if they gain 1 fan from a show they are successful. The band plans on playing as many shows as possible in the future and hope to see each and every person that reads this on the road. So Listen Up, keep your ears open and remember to stay fabuloso.
