| General | The festival will feature a weekend long tribute artist competition, in which Elvis® tribute artists will compete in three categories: professionals, non-professionals, and youth. The artists will be judged by a panel which consists of musicians, music professors, Elvis® fan club presidents, radio and television personalities, writers, teachers of the arts and music, and many other professions. First through fifth place will be awarded in the professional and non-professional classes. First through third place will be awarded in the youth class. About me:
Valentine's Day Dancing with the King tickets are now on sale. Go to our web site to order tickets or call the Elvis Festival hotline at 518-681-7452. The show will star Jim Barone with Drew Polsun and Terry Collins. See the web site for more information.
Ticket packages for the 2009 festival are now on available through our web site at www.LakeGeorgeElvisFest.com or by calling 518-681-7452. Reserved Platinum Table Seat Packages are $140 each. Both our Gold and Silver tickets will be general admission and cost $90 and $70 respectively. We are offering new dinners with the TAs on Friday and Saturday, tickets to the dinners are $22 per person, per night. More details will be up on the web site soon.
The festival is scheduled to run from Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31, 2009. Friday night's show will be "The Great Pretenders: Elvis and Friends" and Saturday's show will be "That's The Way It Is," celebrating the 40th anniversary of Elvis'® return to the live stage in Las Vegas.
The 2009 festival will take place at Painted Pony festival grounds in Lake Luzerne (thank you to the Town of Lake Luzerne for your support in moving the festival), 6 miles outside of Lake George. Table seats are on the floor and gold and silver seats are all in the grandstand. The site is indoor/outdoor. All seats will be covered but bring a jacket in case the weather is cool.
