A nod to Keith Moon for showing a 12-year-old boy from rural North Georgia USA the fun of occasionally approaching the drums with reckless abandon. Also to John Bonham and Neil Peart for helping develop my bass drum work (while I was in high school) and to Stewart Copeland for breaking the persona, strangle hold, or view of the modern rock drummer.

About Me...
Well, I'm not one for self-gratifying flatulence on Myspace. I do what I do well, whether it's percussion or composition - and am not looking for kudos or validation. There will be no press clips or blurbs from experts, critics, and peers included. I prefer Jazz, real Country Music, and fearsomely and aggressively written Alternative, some of which blends into the new catch-all genre Americana (see john doe) - and almost any music that is a musical and intellectual challenge (and that doesn't mean compositions that are over thought, over written and complicated; some of the best compositions are simple).
If anyone is compelled to know more about my evolution from an 8-year-old beating on a calf-skin banjo head 'till present - follow this link.

Thanks for stopping by to see me, the time with my son and my Grandson is going by so fast, they are leaving on Monday already. Wish I was going back with them. He heads back to South Carolina for a week then he heads for Alaska next Monday for 4 Long Years, he is in the Air Force was station at Shaw AFB for 11 years so this is a big change for all of us, I will miss them so much. Well hope your enjoying Summer. Talk to you soon..
Hey Hi Lute, You have a great week too!, It unseasonable HOT here, and I'm not complaining, I actually Love the Hazey Hot days of Summer, It reminds me of when I was little and we always had beautiful hot summer days and we would spend them at the local pool, it was great fun, and I sure miss those days, but its a wonderful memory.
You'd be proud of me! I have the paradiddle down to where I don't have to think about it and I've got the right and left flams down too!
I'm learning everyday and waiting for when it's all going to fall into place! Thank you for all of your help and encouragement! I just love my drums and get so happy while playing them! I guess that's why you have a smile on too! :)
Have a Wonderful Day, Be Blessed, Hugs... Linda :)
