My passion for music has been a lifelong pursuit. Having grown up in a musical family, I always knew I wanted a career in music. I began singing in church as a small child, but I have a feeling I was born singing and just never stopped! My parents took me to church every time the doors were open, and I knew at an early age that any talent I possessed came from God. My dad is an amazing musician who can play anything with strings and doesn't read one note of music! He began making trips to Nashville to record to play in studio session at the early age of 12, and I think if he'd moved to Nashville he could've made a living doing that. (Yes, I'm a little proud!) For several years, he traveled with award winning gospel songwriter Marcia Henry and Latter Rain. My mom is a singer and taught me to pay attention to the details. I can still hear her saying "Smile" and "Say your words clearly." My love for the stage and performing grew even greater through my involvement in high school musicals. Unable to deny my dreams...and my country roots...I moved to Nashville after high school to attend Trevecca Nazarene University where I earned a degree in Business Music. During my three years at Trevecca, I traveled with a singing group every weekend and all summer singing at churches and youth camps. Many great memories were made living in that 15-passenger van!

I'm currently working in the music business here in Nashville and love my "day job". But my true passion is singing and I hope to one day make a living at it. My husband and I have also started our own production company, aimed at helping up-and-coming artists get a great project for a great price! Check it out...it's called HugginsProductions. Very original, right? :-)
