Pianist Lia Davis is a multilingual musician—she began playing piano by ear at age five, has fourteen years of classical training, and is fluent in jazz, Argentine tango, folk, and pop. She is most at home playing piano, but also sings and plays accordion, organ, folk harp, lyre, electric bass, and percussion. She performs for diverse audiences, inspires tangueros on the dance floor, accompanies dance classes, and improvises and composes music in response to movement, visuals arts, and narrative structures. Lia also teaches piano (privately) and lyre (at the Denver Waldorf School). She recently returned to her hometown of Denver after having lived in Boston for six years.
