The Liberty Lounge is located on the campus of the beautiful Mount Royal College, Canada's leading undergraduate college; just a 5 minute drive from downtown Calgary.
With licensed and all-ages capacity configurations of 220, 400 and 600 persons, complete with a full-service bar and friendly staff, The Liberty is ideal for all types of mid-sized live-performance events. The venue's renovation, completed in August of 1999, was conceived and designed to capture and enhance the dynamics of live music performance, providing the best possible live sound, lighting and unobstructed sight lines from anywhere in the room.
Since 1999 The Liberty Lounge has hosted some of Canada's largest performance artists such as Broken Social Scene, Stars, The Weakerthans, The Constantines, Bedouin Soundclash, The Stills, Feist and Sarah Harmer. It has also hosted international stars such as Gogol Bordello, The Horrorpops, Xavier Rudd, The North Mississippi Allstars, Evan Dando and Hugh Cornwell.
