I play a lot of Texas singer-songwriter music (Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, David Rodriguez, and company); folk-country reinterpretations of country classics (Hank Williams, Sr., Johnny Cash); some traditional folk music; and I write songs that come out of those traditions. Several of my songs are posted here. I also play with the Accidental Band. Our debut CD is available at http://www.libnecktroubadour.com/Accidental_band.htm. You listen to some of the songs on that CD at http://www.myspace.com/theaccidentalband. For bookings (solo or band) contact me at craigclifford@libnecktroubadour.com.
Craig, very good to meet you. Any friend of David's, as it were. We're in touch these days, doing some writing. Next time I'm in your area is the end of Sept for Pawlessfest in Gainesville...not quite next door, but. Do you know guitar maker Vince Pawless?
Townes came to me in a dream last night and told me to tell you it was okay to put me in his place on your friends list...
Total fabrication. I enjoyed listening to your music! I'm going to try and make it to the vineyards and drink me some wine! OH, and watch your show, too!
Dr. Clifford, I really do like your new song "So Long Ago" I think its the best one you have up. I'm thinking it may get some air time on my page here pretty soon. I see you are playing some shows, hope you are enjoying it.
Check out James M. new song "Just Us Kids" It's a goodun. Take care sir.
I went and checked out the new recordings. They sound awesome. My favorite is still probably River of Fate. But now I'm hooked on the other two also. My whole family is from Louisiana.
Oh guess what? I'm taking your logic class in the fall. You have any suggestions for summer reading?
Here's an old timer "picker" after my own heart! No electronics, metal finger picks, lyrics that mean something and the heart to sing them. Thanks for the add Craig. Keep on writing!
Hey guess what Dr. Clifford? I put one of your songs on my myspace. You should feel special. Oh yeah, and when are you going to find out for me if there is any way possible to get a religious studies minor (not that I don't want a philosophy minor)? I know, I was supposed to e-mail you last week. But I didn't, so now I'm reminding you.
