Elle s’appelle Licia, elle chante, écrit et compose des chansons en anglais, français et créole.//////////
D'OU VIENT-ELLE ? Née le 1er juin 1985 à Genève de parents haïtiens, Licia est une jeune artiste d’origine genevoise.//////////
QUEL EST SON PARCOURS ? Licia a eu une scolarité tout à fait ordinaire jusqu’à l’obtention de la maturité si ce n’est que dès l’âge de 12 ans, elle se produit sur scène à chaque fête scolaire (escalade et fin d’année) en exécutant des chorégraphies qu’elle invente et apprend à ses amies lorsqu’elle ne chante pas./////
Au collège, elle compose un album pour son travail de maturité, et met en scène un spectacle d’1h30 avec trois danseuses et six choristes pour présenter son travail./////
Après avoir obtenu sa maturité, passé une année à l’ETM (école de musiques actuelles), un semestre en Sociologie à l’université de Genève et s’être produite à l’Alhambar, et l’Undertown, Licia part 5 mois entre les USA et le Canada pour voir du pays et s’enrichir musicalement. Elle se produit au Kalalu (Montréal) et au Café Omar (Brooklyn)./////
C’est la tête pleine de nouvelles idées que Licia revient à Genève début 2008 et rencontre le guitariste Pierre Fouqueray qui l’accompagne désormais.//////////
QUEL EST SON STYLE MUSICAL ? En un mot ? Fleuri. En deux ? plutôt atypique. Elle compare souvent sa musique à un bouquet de fleurs avec des chansons très différentes mais qui tournent autour de la Soul, du Jazzy et du Blues…//////////
OU SE PRODUIT-ELLE? Licia passe de l’Undertown, l’Alhambar au Soul Jazz Café sans oublier l’Usine à gaz de Nyon.
Proposant des shows acoustiques mais entraînants, elle sait séduire le public avec sa voix, ses textes, ses mélodies et sa présence scénique alors ouvrez les yeux, les oreilles et surtout le cœur !//////////
QUELLES SONT SES AMBITIONS ? Avec un album en préparation, Licia tient son public en haleine avec un spectacle doux, rigolo et captivant.

WHO IS SHE? Her name is Licia, she sings, she writes and composes in French, English and Creole. ///////
WHERE IS SHE FROM? She was born on June 1st 1985 in Geneva, her parents are Haitians so she's a young artist from Geneva. Her haitian culture has been very influent for the composition of her album intended in 2010.///////
WHAT IS HER BACKGROUND ? Licia had an ordinary scolarity until she obtained her maturity (high school diploma) except that since the age of 12, she performs on stage at every school party doing choreographies that she creates and teaches to her schoolmates when she's not singing.
In High School, she composes an album for her Maturity Chore and stages a 1h30 show with 3 dancers and 6 background singers. Afert she obtained her Maturity, spent a year in ETM (music school), one semester in Sociology at the Geneva University, and performed at Alhambar and Undertown (Geneva), Licia leaves Switzerland and travels to the U.S and Canada to learn more about the music industry for 5 months. She performs at the Kalalu (Montreal) and at the Café Omar (Brooklyn).
It's full of new ideas that Licia comes back inGeneva in 2008 and start her quest again with a completely new show!
Licia has won the Caribana Contest and performed at the Caribana Festival on June 13th 2009, she than performed at the Fête de la Musique of Geneva. ///////
WHAT IS HER MUSIC STYLE? In one word? Flowery. In two? quite atypical. She often compares her music with a bouquet that has very different songs that stay around Soul, Jazzy, Funky and Blues. ///////
WHERE DOES SHE PERFORM? Licia performs at the Undertown, the Alahambar, the Ethno, the Soul Jazz Café, The Usine à Gaz of Nyon, the Caribana festival, the fête de la musique, the mad of Geneva...
Her shows are acoustic but entertaining and she knows how to seduce the crowd with her voice, her lyrics, her melodies and her scenic presence so open your eyes, your ears and most of all, open your heart! //////////
WHAT ARE HER ASPIRATIONS? With an album in preparation, Licia keeps her public in suspense with a sweet, funny and entertaining show.
She would like to conquer a larger public, to share her emotions, her music, and touch as deep as she can with sincere lyrics in deep subjects and in lighter ones.
