The Lick was started in May 2005 by Ali Davidson, as Glasgow's only free rock music magazine that covered everything hot about Glasgow's alternative music scene. In April 2006, the Lick re-launched as LICKMAG.COM! The new website now gives you up-to-date info, reviews & interviews from the best Glasgow has to offer.
In September 2006, Ali expanded the Lickmag empire by enlisting the help of two music students called Vicki Cole and Fiona Reid. With the experience of setting up Fight Fanzine under their belts, they aimed to help make Lickmag.com an even more sensational place to be.
Now Lickmag.com is focused on delivering up-to-date news about the finest Glasgow bands whilst providing you with reviews of the best local acts, to the big names that pass through town.
