Initially signed with ShimmyDisc, Licorice Roots have re-issued on Essay Records a remastered version with bonus trax of their acclaimed debut, 'Licorice Root Orchestra', and are considered to be indie rock legends. All 26 trax from this album are available for download on sites such as Itunes, rhapsody, etc. where you can also find 'Shades of Streamers', 'Caves of the Sun',' and Licorice Roots' 5th album 'Stripes of Sunshine'. Another all new Licorice Roots album, titled "Glimpses of Greenwood" was released in 2008 by Daisi Records. December 15, 2009 will see the release of our latest, new album titled "Strangers in Marshmallow Boots".
I found you guys after randomly searching through similar artists to 60's psychedelia...and I have to say this music is absolutely bizarre and fantastic. Totally original. I'll be looking forward to new albums! You guys sound great!
To say that your music is AMAZING is nothing but a simple understatement. Your vocals and instrumentation departs from phenomena and breaks through the membrane of the noumena.
