LID is an original six piece band from the Pacific Northwest that first broke onto the scene in 1994. At the start of the post-grunge movement, LID developed a unique riff oriented style, combined with a wall of heavy hitting sound and a subtle groove. For more than 15 years LID has evolved and changed with the times, but has kept the drive to rock hard at the core. Influences are many and diverse, ranging from classic rock legends like Cream, Jimi Hendrix and The Who, to grunge greats Soundgarden, Nirvana and Alice in Chains, to post-grunge acts Queens of the Stoneage, Tool and Monster Magnet.
LID has played shows up and down the West Coast, throughout the Southwest and east to Texas and Arkansas, picking up rabid fans at every stop. Using MySpace.com LID has been able to reach legions of new followers as far away as Europe and South America. Currently LID is finishing up the writing phase of a new album with the goal of returning to the studio in the near future. For the past few months the writing process has proceeded at an amazing pace, and LID has already booked the first shows to share new material with a live audience. LID is available for all ranges of live performances, and look forward to adding to its already large and growing fan base.
