Tampa Taiko is a professional drumming duo that has performed their unique style for a vast array of audiences, performing at festivals, concert halls, schools, workshops, summer camps, corporate and VIP events. Using a collection of taiko drums made by themselves from discarded wine barrels, Tampa Taiko has developed a dynamic fusion of old and new styles of drumming, bringing a contemporary vibrance to an ancient martial artform.
Hey there, thought I’d drop you a line and say hello, and to let you know we’re in the process of hiring employees for our 2008 tour. If you have any interest, or know a friend that might have interest in running away and joining a touring circus now is your chance. Click on the photo or visit our website at www.nonprofitcircus.com
Hope to hear from you,

Just wanted to drop by and say a friendly hello, and see how things are going for you. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. We've had some exciting big breaks and are way ahead of schedule. Looks like we’ll be opening the show a little earlier. Take care. Thomas at >www.nonprofitcircus.com
Favorite Holiday AND Lied Center memory: being on the Lied stage in Christmas Carol with livestock (1998)...cause Christmas ain't Christmas without a donkey in your Dickens.
we'd start a series, targeted to folks who would be interested in a casual,
easy to opt-in for *fantastic* arts experiences.
we would have events in our 'black box' theatre-- the Lied Center's
Johnny Carson Theatre.
events would be fun-- comedians, jazz trios, kick ass new and talented
musicians...
we'd have drinks. good food (I dreamt of sushi!). little tables.
it would be like being in a big city night club without leaving Lincoln.
oh, and tickets would be *cheap*. no more than 15 bucks.
we day dreamed about what artists we'd include...
then... we met with our boss,... who LOVED the idea, and gave us the
green light to start planning.
we were quickly joined by our one sponsor, the Lincoln Journal
Star's Ground Zero and their two marketing gurus, the Jessicas.
we even have our own nifty website,
clubcarson.net
it's a work in progress, but promises to uniquely position this series--
separate from the other fantastic stuff we have coming up at the Lied.
this Thursday, we welcome to the Carson, David Mann-- a super fun
comedian/story teller with his piece 'Temporary Insanity', a story
chocked full of work place humor.
Tickets ARE $15, ($10 for UNL students), I've seen the food list--
and my mouth is watering just thinking of it. Chris Piper has come
up with first-class wine and other tasty drink choices.
Shows are at 7 and 9:30.
You can just show up (come early) at the Carson
enterance, or call the ticket office to reserve your spot-- 472-4747.
help us spread the word-- and sure hope to see YOU on Thursday,
or for one of the other FIVE upcoming CLUB CARSON events.
cute profile :)
thanks for the great share :)
