About Life and Soul Promotions

We now have a residency on Rhythmandsoulradio.com on the third and fourth Sundays of every month at 4pm EST, and our regular club and radio slots are listed in the gig section

Life and Soul Promotions is principally a website at www.lifeandsoulpromotions.co.uk . It's main activities are the promotion of Soul Music but particularly in assisting and increasing awareness of Independent Soul Artists.

Life and Soul also owns connected websites, blogs and forums with similar aims and objectives.

This myspace page is complementary to the other sites but will be focussed mainly on events

The main website for Life and Soul was formed by Mike Ashley. He is a devotee of Black Music in pretty much all its forms since the early 70's. He is passionate about new music but has anexperience and knowledge spanning these years and more.

Through all it's site Life and Soul will help, facilitate, encourage and promote Independent Artists - we are actively seeking venues and sponsors with this aim.

Life and Soul also plays quality Soul Music at a number of venues.

We play at venues individually under our own banner soulfreedom

This trading banner enables us to incorporate soul music styles, an eclectic mix of underground sounds past and present for the discerning dancefloor and without restriction

The core team for this, bringing a vast array of music and knowledge to venues, is Kevin Baynham and Mike Ashley. We have different backgrounds and we come together to offer a unique package, portraying all facets of Black American Music in all it's derivatives

Kev (KGB) is based in Cardiff and runs successful venues under the banner Corner Pocket Soul. Kev plays connoisseur soul, jazz funk and rare groove weekly at the City Canteen Cardiff

Mike (A) of course is the founder of L&S.
