Life As Ghosts was formed two years ago with members Dante Brocchi (Guitar/Vox), Kellen Balla (Guitar/Vox), Craig Toney (Bass), and Justin Bartsch (Drums). Influenced by bands such as Murder By Death, Cursive, and Against Me!, they began writing songs. After a few sessions playing together, Athena Koumis (Violin) joined and soon after the band started playing shows. Thier first release, Brick and Mortar, is a darker EP with the band still defining its sound. It shows the writing ability of the band in its early stages through thoughtful lyrical content. Their next release, Sea to Shore, was a lighter EP with more acoustic songs and a faster pace. The first two EP's were recorded by Donovan Murphy, but after losing contact with Donovan, they decided to record their next CD themselves. They are currently recording their first full-length CD with new drummer, old friend, lost love Alex "Mean Gene Jr." Eisner. With Life As Ghosts at the helm combined with the addition of Alex "Mr. Moustache" Eisner, their next release is sure to change the world.
Life As Ghosts is a five piece Folk/Indie/Experimental band from Sacramento, California that combines dual vocals, violin, bass, and drums to create their own unique style.
